kxstudio: LinuxSampler/OpenOctave installieren

Hallo,

nachdem ich kxstudio von der live-DVD installiert und erfolgreich aktualisiert hatte, interessierte mich der LinuxSampler.

Qsampler ist in der Distribution bereits vorhanden, liefert aber nach Start die Fehlermeldung:

Der Grund ist klar: linuxsampler ist nicht Bestandteil der Installation und wird daher nicht gefunden.

Da der LinuxSampler in den Repos von kxstudio im Rahmen von "OpenOctave MIDI" zu haben ist, wobei mich OpenOctave ebenfalls interessiert, ging ich, leider ohne Erfolg, nach dieser Anleitung vor:

Meine Internetverbindung ist O.K., also woran lag es, daß es nicht geklappt hat? Steht das PPA im Moment tatsächlich nicht zur Verfügung? Weiß jemand mehr?

Ansonsten macht kxstudio einen guten Eindruck. Besonders schätze ich das konfliktlose Nebeneinander von pulseaudio und jack. Jetzt ist es z.B. problemlos möglich, Audio aus dem Browser mit Ardour aufzunehmen.

Also ich habe so langsam den Verdacht, daß openoctave 2012 nicht funktioniert, das Projekt momentan eingestellt ist und kxstudio es aus diesem Grund nicht mehr verbreitet:

I've tried the OpenOctave yesterday, and the interface and the concept is great so far. Only that I didn't get any sound when working with MIDI data. Either I don't get it or something went wrong during the install process (I installed it by ppa, so I have no clue if there's a problem or not)

Ich fürchte, auch oomidi-2011 wird wenig nützlich sein (siech auch http://www.audio4linux.de/forum/viewtop ... =26&t=1286), doch ich wäre froh, wenn mit dieser Version wenigstens der LinuxSampler leicht zu installieren ist. Kann das jemand bestätigen?

das verfügbere paket heisst oomidi-2011 anstatt ...-2012.

bezüglich deiner letzten frage hab ich keine antwort für dich, aber warum probierst du es einfach nicht?

kann eigentlich nichts kaputt gehen dabei, im schlimmsten falle kommt ne fehler meldung.

am sonsten, linuxsampler selber kompilieren.

Weil ich eine funktionierende Installation in Ubuntu Studio noch nie hinbekommen habe und eine in Debian nur mit viel Aufwand und Hilfe. Hier kann man einen Eindruck davon bekommen, was es heißt, den LinuxSampler so zu installieren, daß er funktioniert und benutzbar wird. (Danke an Musix!).

Aber Du hast schon recht, ich experimentiere einfach mal. Im Notfall installiere ich kxstudio noch einmal.
