Gibt es was neues?

Habe mir die Seite gerade mal wieder angesehen:

http://protux.sourceforge.net/

sieht nicht gut aus...
Ich fände es schade, wenn ein so originelles und Qualitativ hochwertiges Programm wie Protux einfach so verschwinden würde - gibt es denn irgendwelche Pläne, die Sache weiterzuführen?

indeed

Hi,

Sorry for not responding in German too, but my German is much worse then my English ;)

I don't know if the project is being worked on still, but there is a fork which continues on the origianl code (written in C++)

Have a look http://savannah.nongnu.org/projects/traverso/

Heh, don't know if anyone actually uses it.... :-P

Gern geschehen!

I had an interesting read in the "Noch nie probiert?" thread.
The first time I used the program, the learning curve was very steep, and getting used to the command syntax was very hard.

As you can see from the screenshots, there are "Contextual Menu's" now, which make live much easier!
Also a bit improved Help, with a better introduction to the concept and how to use it....
Oh, and Jack support, though I never use Jack... (well, almost never that is ;-) For some reason, Jamin doesn't work here :-( )

I tried Ardour several times, but the learning curve for Ardour is in fact very high too.
And it keeps crashing here, even the 0.99.3 version!
Audacity is a nice tool, but very clumsy to use IMHO.
Specially the way how filters are added/used. Rather inconvenient.

So who knows, Traverso can indeed be the program between the highly professional (and for me unstable) Ardour, and Audacity.

A Traverso user.
