Firewire-Interface funzt noch nicht so!

Habe bei meinen Arbeitskollegen eine Presonus Firepod
an meinen Ubuntu-Rechner gesteckt,
kann qjackctl als "root" starten (mittels freebob-treiber),
aber leider nicht mit meinem Benutzer.
Habe bei meinem Benutzer bei den Rechten die "Audiogeräte verwenden" auch angehakt.
Was muß ich noch berücksichtigen?

Welche Linux-Version und -Distribution benutzt Du?
Als was wird Dein Firepod am Rechner erkannt?
Werden Kerneltreiber geladen?

Viel kann ich da jetzt nicht bei helfen, weil ich selber keine FW-Audiogeräte verwende.

Ist denn Dein Gerät überhaupt von FreeBob unterstützt?

das problem hatte ich auch. die rechte sind nicht die audio-rechte, sondern es war was anderes (disk oder so). schau mal, was jack so an fehlern ausspuckt...

wie war gleich nochmal der Befehl, um die Berechtigung für disk zu erlangen?

chmod ??? disk



Es ist ein Ubuntu 7.10 System,
Das Firepod sollte laut Internet funktionieren (tut es ja auch mit root)

wenn man das googelt, kommt als erstes folgender link:

und da gibts folgende tips:
sudo chmod o+rw /dev/raw1394

oder:
sudo gedit /etc/udev/rules.d/40-permissions.rules

find this :

# IEEE1394 (firewire) devices
# Please note that raw1394 gives unrestricted, raw access to every single
# device on the bus and those devices may do anything as root on your system.
# Yes, I know it also happens to be the only way to rewind your video camera,
# but it's not going to be group "video", okay?

and change it to

KERNEL=="raw1394", GROUP="audio"

oder den user zur gruppe "disk" hinzufügen (da hatte ich die disk her )...

Hat super geklappt, habe die zweite Variante verwendet:

Mir viel nur beim Lesen auf, das freebob jetzt ffado heißt (Nachfolger), jedenfalls ist das Gerät mit "reported to work" gelistet:

Nachdem Du dich nicht mehr gemeldet hast, scheint sich das ja zu bestätigen
